I saw that there were all 3 links a few days ago, but now it’s back to only the first one! I’m on a different computer now and can’t get back to clue 3, which I was half-way through. So frustrating, but I understand that things glitch sometimes. Could we get an update on the page saying when the patterns will be back up?

Bernat Super Value is a worsted weight yarn, isn’t it? I know it is a synthetic, so I will have to substitute a cotton yarn. I just want to be sure I have the correct size.

My G hook is a 4.25mm not a 4mm. Is this the right hook? Or do I need to go get a G that is a 4mm? HELP PLEASE…

Kim, for your future reference it does not matter that much. The 0.25mm difference in a crochet hook is so minuscule that you don’t need to go out and buy every different hook simply because you’re worried the numbers don’t match. It is more important that you are comfortable with your tension and the way your stitches look than that your hook size is perfect.

When I first started out crocheting I used a hook two or three sizes larger than called for because my tension was really tight, so my gauge would always be small if I didn’t. As my tension has loosened, my gauge has evened out and I have tried more different types of yarn, I find that softer animal fiber based and stretchy synthetic yarns tend to be better with a larger hook and yarns with no give like rayons, bamboos, cottons, and other plant-based fibers do better with a smaller hook so that my loops aren’t too big in the finished stitches. Acrylics can go either way, so you just have to try and see what you like.
