The E-Tent opened in October 2013 when the demand of the Spinrite Factory Outlet Store was getting overwhelmed with shipment requests of the discounted yarn that was in store. Since October 2013, the E-Tent has expanded substantially and moved it’s location to provide more storage to allow more selections to be available. The E-Tent is not a walk-in public location.

Both Store and E-Tent are connected with Spinrite Yarns, makers of Patons, Bernat, Caron and Lily Yarns.

The Store

The store carries first and second quality yarns in more than just the labels of Patons, Bernat, Caron and Lily Yarns. They also have popular favourites such as James C Brett, Regia, Estelle and many more just to name a few.

There is also a great number of pattern books, implements and inspiration within it’s four walls.

You will also find the seconds bins that are extremely popular. Yarns that haven’t made the cut are in this section without their labels. Most balls are full size. Sometimes the dye just didn’t take right to the yarn so it’s not an approved colour to be packaged and set out to regular stores. Seconds are sold by the ounce and it doesn’t take long to load up a recycle bag or two at a fraction of the retail price.

The Store also carries some of the yarns that are available in the E-Tent. Prices advertised in the E-Tent are usually not reflective in the physical store. Though the E-Tent is Canadian, prices online are in US Dollars as most customers are in the USA who order this yarn. The online store doesn’t have the capability of mixing currency and US Dollars has been chosen to make it simpler.

The E-Tent

The E-Tent is just an online source and not a physical place to go and shop in person. All yarn ordered online is shipped from this location. Not all yarn available in the ETENT is available at the store that is open to the public. The store has 1st Quality of your favourite brands such as Bernat, Patons, Lily, Caron, Phentex and many more. There is also a discount bin section where yarn is sold by the pound.

The E-Tent specializes in selling overstock and discontinued yarns for Bernat, Patons, Caron, Phentex and Lily. The E-Tent also has it’s own private brand called Tent Sale Yarn. Sometimes, entire yarn lines are being offered as the entire line has been discontinued. Like most yarn companies, they change colours from year to year rendering a colour discontinued. Yarn colours vary and the E-Tent is updated twice a month with new additions or subtractions. The yarn is classified as discontinued and when it sells out, it will be gone for good.

The prices are steeply discontinued to clear space in the warehouse for newer stock.

The E-Tent has a weekly sale of something really tempting. Sales can include free yarn, further discounted prices and sometimes even free shipping. To know what is happening, subscribe to their newsletter.

Shipping is to Canadian and USA Residents only. Outside of these regions drastically increases shipping prices; therefore, it is not offered.

A few times each year, there is a physical tent set up outside of the Store where the ETENT is open to the public. Subscribe to their Newsletter to know when the dates are. They are usually advertised about 1 month in advance.
